Calacatta marble arched on honeycomb in a luxury jewelry store
Architect request:
For the new Royal Quartz store in Paris, the architect wanted to dress the arched bosom of the staircase in the same marble as the steps. Another request: to dress the fronts of continuous grain drawers without visible joints.
Solution :
Use of a curved NIDO VETRO choneycomb panel, following an innovative process developed for this project, after making a template of the existing metal tread.
The fronts of the drawers were produced using the TAMBURATO process. The 60 x 20 cm drawer fronts are made of 20 mm thick solid marble which has been hollowed out on the back to obtain a weight of only 1.8 Kg to allow the use of standard hardware.
